£500,000 investment in ALERT FINALISED TODAY from Narec Capital Limited

Alert Technology Ltd's crowdfunding campaign received fantastic news today as institutional investment of £500,000 from Narec Capital Ltd (NCL) was finalised, taking the company to nearly 60% of its £1 million funding target on Crowdcube.

This injection of funds from NCL, alongside the generous support of Crowdcube's investors, bring Alert's crowdfunding investment campaign to nearly 60% funded. The company has a 14 day extension to its campaign so it may finalise a number of other ongoing conversations with interested potential investors.

The campaign on Crowdcube now closes on Wednesday 30th November 2016 so there is still time to invest in this life-saving real time warning technology which offers future users a risk reduction tool to help prevent prolonged exposure to airborne asbestos fibres.

The Asbestos ALERT is currently the only known warning device capapble of actually distinguishing between airborne asbestos and non-asbestos fibres in real time. Asbestos is a category 1 human carcinogen and one of the world'd deadliest industrial toxins. Responsible for over 107,000 deaths annually worldwide according to WHO and 5000 deaths a year in the UK says HSE (20 a week of which are tradesmen) which is more than the number of Brits killed in road accidents.

Despite being banned in many countries, some countries such as Canada, USA, China, Russia and India still actively use asbestos. Those who no longer do are left with the problem of dealing with legacy asbestos resulting from decades of extensive use in over 3000 products. Asbestos containing materials can be found in many UK domestic and commercial properties built prior to 1999, including an estimated 86% of UK schools.

The Asbestos ALERT was initially funded by the EU's FP7 programme and is currently at working proto-type stage. The company responsible for commercializing the ALERT range are Alert Technology Ltd who are looking to raise £1m on Crowdcube to help accelerate market entry for this potentially life saving new device that is relevant to over 30 different industry sectors around the world.
